Rachel & Jake’s Rustic Farm Stay Elopement

There’s something quietly magical about winter in the Hunter Valley—crisp air, golden light, and a peaceful stillness that invites you to slow down.

There’s something quietly magical about winter in the Hunter Valley—crisp air, golden light, and a peaceful stillness that invites you to slow down. Rachel and Jake embraced that completely with their intimate elopement at Wallaringa Farm—a celebration that was heartfelt, down-to-earth, and entirely about their love. They chose our Elope & Stay package, keeping it just the two of them, which made the day wonderfully private.

Their ceremony took place on the expansive Wallaringa lawn, framed by soft feather grasses and backed by endless views of rolling farmland. Birdsong filled the air, and a cheeky cow or two added their own commentary in the distance—charmingly on-brand for Hunter Valley eloping.

The ceremony itself, led by the always-warm Meredith, was full of personality—plenty of giggles, a few happy tears, and moments that felt completely “them.” With just Jordana from Wallaringa and Ell from Rogue Weddings as witnesses, it was beautifully private and deeply genuine.

As afternoon light spilled across the paddocks, Rachel and Jake wandered the property, pausing to take photos with the horses and soak in the moment. Ell captured it all in her dreamy, documentary style—soft light, raw emotion, and images that feel alive.

The day ended with a simple wood-fired BBQ under the stars. No fanfare. Just a quiet evening, good food, and a sky full of stars—a perfect close to a celebration that was intimate, meaningful, and completely their own. Wallaringa Farm elopement packages made it effortless for them to focus on each other and enjoy every moment.

"Wallaringa Farm was the perfect location for our intimate elopement. Everything was incredible, we especially loved the small gestures Jordana and the team left for us for our special day. The views are stunning around the property and the inside of the home is incredible, the fireplace was our favourite feature of the home, it got lots of use. Jordana was superb to deal with and made the stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to visit again!"
