Alana & Perry’s Secluded Wedding for Two

Quiet, romantic, and deeply intentional, their day proved that even rain and mist can create something truly magical when the focus is simply on each other.

Alana and Perry’s winter elopement at Wallaringa Farm was the perfect example of a secluded wedding for two. Quiet, romantic, and deeply intentional, their day proved that even rain and mist can create something truly magical when the focus is simply on each other.

From the very beginning, the day unfolded slowly and softly. With no schedule to rush and no guests waiting, Alana and Perry spent the morning together, getting ready side by side as the fire crackled inside and rain gently settled over the landscape outside. The mist rolled across the hills, wrapping the farm in that calm, hushed stillness that winter brings, setting the tone for an elopement that felt private and beautifully removed from the world.

Under the cover of the deck, floral towers framed the ceremony space, their blooms standing out against the lush green paddocks and low fog drifting through the valley. Sheltered from the rain, the couple exchanged vows overlooking the misty countryside, completely present in the moment. Meredith led their ceremony with warmth and ease, creating a space that felt relaxed, heartfelt, and perfectly suited to a couple who wanted nothing more than something intimate and personal.

For Alana and Perry, choosing a secluded wedding for two was about stepping away from expectation. They never wanted a big scene or the pressure of being the centre of attention. Instead, they chose an elopement that honoured who they are, quiet, connected, and deeply in love. With Ell there to capture still moments and Matt from Design Patrol Films documenting the day on film, they created a keepsake that would allow them to share their story later with family and friends in a way that felt comfortable and true to them.

Rainy winter days at Wallaringa Farm have a magic all of their own, especially for couples dreaming of a Dungog wedding or a Hunter Valley wedding that feels secluded and intentional. Alana and Perry’s elopement is a beautiful reminder that you do not need sunshine or spectacle to create something unforgettable, just the right place, the right person, and the freedom to make the day entirely your own.

"We are so In love with Wallaringa, we actually were DREADING leaving. From the moment we drove down the driveway we were in awe.. I don’t know how else to explain the farm other than instant calm. We ran inside to check it out thinking it COULDN’T possibly be as good as the photos?? It was better. The details, the structure, the vibe, the view, the animals… everything was beyond perfect.

To have the farm as the place we got married is just the best choice we have ever made. We spent hours sitting on the bench watching all the animals move around and we kept saying “I can’t believe this is even real”. The animals came so close which just goes to show how well thought out the farm is, that the animals feel so comfortable to roam so freely around it. The elopement packages offered were the BEST. Took any stress or anxiety around organising vendors, how it will work etc completely away. We have enjoyed the entire process from start to finish, and if we could do it all over again we would haha! We now have a special place to bring friends and families, and celebrate our marriage over all the years to come. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much. Wallaringa Farm has stolen our hearts and we will without a doubt be coming back soon."
